my clutch blew a brand new slave cilinder

Default my clutch blew a brand new slave cilinder

I just replaced the hidraulics on my 94 camaro because it had a leak, but everything was fine .I replaced everything and when I stepped on the pedal to broke the retainer on the slave, it worked... then it vas trealy soft anf trew all liquid on the bellhosing..

When I removed the slave it was in pieces and the metla rod had a mark arond half way..
could you please tell me what went worng, before I just order an blew another slave cylinder.

when you install the slave make for sure you get the slave cylinder rod in the clutch fork hole... or it will def blow it to pieces if you force the clutch pedal down!!
