The 12" model is NOT exempt from the shifting issues.I know because I just pulled mine out and replaced it with a Textralia.

There is a sticky made by Tick Perf on how to check if you need a shim behind the slave. Buy the clutch and take the proper measurments to be sure before you install it.

Also if anyone is interested id be more that happy to sell my 12" pressure plate(15k miles), light metal disc(3k miles), and billet steel centerforce flywheel(15k miles) with the arp flywheel bolts that were used and also new bolts for the pressure plate.Make me an offer.

EDIT: Sorry for hi-jacking, just thought you may be interested.

I like my DF, perfect pedal pressure imo, especially on long drives. smooth engagement, no shaking and it takes abuse pretty well considering where I used to live had a steep uphill shell driveway that I always had to slip the clutch on or break traction. but you can piece a nice clutch together for less $

I had the centerforce 11'' dual friction with centerforce steel flywheel, new gm slave and mcleod master. It lasted about 15,000 miles before it took a crap. That was with numerous 5000 rpm clutch dumps in second gear. Never slipped until the last 1000 miles or so. It held great up until then but I am bolt on only with street tires. If I was you I would get the 12'' for sure. Im going to try it next. Or maybe try a Monster stage 3.

I have the 12" and about 6k on it, I beat the hell out of my car and it also took 4.5k dumps on MT et streets with no problems, auto x with no problems. I did have chatter and high rpm shifting problems for the 1st 1000 miles but that went away. It can shift at 7300 rpms like butter now. I do also have a stock adj master (I made myself from the post in here). GREAT clutch for the $$, I am going to get another when this one goes out (hopefully at least 20k forom now)
