Default help with a throw out bearing

I am installing a ls1t56 in my 56 belair the hydraulic conversion kit i bought from classic chevy bolts to the front plate without any adjustment that I can tell. Can anyone tell me if the oem bearing has any adjustment with it ?

Are you referring to the slave cylinder?? The throwout is attached to the front of the slave, where is contacts the pressure plate fingers.

As far as adjustment goes, none of the slave cylinders are adjustable that I've ever heard of. You can, however, get an adjustable master cylinder to get the pedal adjusted to where you want it.

You can also get slave shims, which seat the slave further off the front plate in the case of a narrower flywheel or clutch assembly, so that it still extends far forward enough to release the clutch fully.
