Intermittent vibration through clutch pedal - non-LS1
Not sure if this is an appropriate post in this forum, but I'll try it anyway
My 2001 ZR2 has NV3500 5-spd with 37k miles on stock clutch, hydraulics, etc. Lately I've been noticing a slight vibration through the clutch pedal when shifting. Its especially noticeable on downshifts when rev-matching. The odd thing is that its intermittent - it'll do it sometimes (usually after it sits for a couple of days) and then it'll go away and be smooth as can be. No noises, slippage, or difficulty shifting. Anybody have any ideas what might be the causing this?

No, I wouldn't really compare it to chatter since you can only feel it in the pedal and it can be felt with the pedal completely depressed.
I've been watching it more closely now and it really seems to be most noticeable for the first maybe 30 miles or so of driving after the truck has been sitting for a couple of days. After that it tends to clear up and feels as smooth as can be. Odd...

push the clutch in and out multiple times and see if it comes and goes-
If it is hard to shift, then it could be a pilot bearing.
Is it still under warranty?

My last ZR2 (a 1995) did have a pilot bearing go bad, but it had around 80,000 miles on the original hardware. Had to replace the input shaft as well because of it. After that I figured on just replacing the clutch and stuff around 60,000 miles with this one no matter what. I'd hate to have to do it at only 37,000 though since everything seems fine except for this.
I love this truck, but it has been the most poorly assembled GM I've ever owned. I've had to fix everything from wiring to door panels to seats... I think the guys building it were in training or something.

My wifes Mazda Protege 5 had clutch "vibration" problems after 20,000 miles. Only cold, after a few stops it was fine. This one was a case of clutch chatter and I actually got the dealer to replace the flywheel, pressure plate, disc and bearing. My original thought was that you may have a similar (though completely different vehicle) situation....
