Default Oil on my clutch....

So I didn't see a nice little oil leak from the back of my LT4 valve covers and it was leaking oil on to the T56. Some oil got on my clutch disk and PP. It spun a few times and I could smell the clutch disk frying. Is it toast?

I had this happen once, with a mix of trans oil (syncromesh) and motor oil...it was wet, but it wasn't saturated. Sprayed LOTS of brakeclean and sanded the friction material. It didn't clean up completely, but I was able to get most of it off/out. I scuffed up the flywheel a bit too and put it all back together. No ill affects since doing it...but the car hasn't been to the track yet, so I'm not sure if it will hold on slicks. You might give it a try if the clutch is newer and you can rip it back apart pretty easily (time and tools readily available), if needed. If not, I would just replace it to be safe.

Hey BlackLT1Z...what clutch are you currently using. Some materials can be cleaned up with brake clean while others can't. If you provide info on the parts you are using I will be happy to provide info on what can be done. Thanks!
