Default Squeaking clutch pedal?

I'm going to be doing a clutch and stuff soon. As of now my clutch pedal is squeaking and squealing everytime i press it. Is there something that causes this or something i should replace when my clutch is done? Thanks

I've found most of the time that when you think the clutch pedal is squeaking, its actually the pressure plate. You can usually feel it in the pedal and sometimes it's stiffer than normal. When I was a mechanic and a customer had that problem, it was almost always a clutch that was due for replacing. Once in a while, it would be the pivot bushing. If I greased the pivot bushing, and it went away, then I knew it wasn't the clutch. Otherwise, time to pull the tranny.
