T56 spline count and Moser Pinion
Im gettin a driveshaft made and I wanna make sure im right. T56 has a 27spline output? Moser rear needs a 1350 ujoint and a Moser 9 in requires a 1 inch longer driveshaft than stock? Correct

With the 9's iv installed the stock driveshaft would mount due to the u joint. Besides id twist the stocker pullin out of the driveway, this isnt setup to be DD.

I think he was stating that the stock length DS has worked in alot of cars. I personally have seen a +/- 1" variance in Fbody's using 9" rears. The only way to do it correctly is to have the drivetrain installed, and measure the distance. Denny's will only sell you a DS this way, no estimates..

DS length depends on which pinion yoke is used on the 9" third member, some are longer than others. I needed a 1" longer driveshaft with my Moser 9" (Moser billet 1350 yoke), had a bad hwy vibration with stock length because the trans yoke wasn't seated all the way in the tail housing bushing. My buddy's Moser 9" works fine with the stock length DS, but he's using a stock Ford pinion yoke that is much longer than the Moser piece......85Mike's advise is best, you need to measure what you've got.
