Pull clutch to CSC?
Pull clutch to CSC? I have an early T56 from a 97 Z28. It had a factory pull clutch which I have through some bastardization converted to a regular push clutch. This is behind a BBC with a 12" clutch/flywheel. I had to machine away some of the factory bell housing to get the transmission to fit. Then I used an external slave that pushes to make it work.
It works but the action sucks and it is very heavy. I was hoping to convert to a later version that uses the concentric slave cylinder (CSC). Has anyone tried this on the early transmission? What parts did you use? Or do I need to swap out the factory bell housing to make it work? Is there an aftermarket solution?
