Default 01 M6 SS Camaro Spec clutch problem

I just did a Spec stage 2 clutch and flywheel ona customers car. Everything went smooth and the install is perfect. The problem is with the car on the lift we fired it up and it was hard to get into gear and didn't shift smooth at all. I bleed the hydros first w/ a mighty vac, twice, and then traditionally(prob pumped it up and opened bleeder 4 times) and finally we used a power bleeder to force fluid through the system. Nothing has made it better. Now it won't go into gear unless I pump the clutch and force the shifter, then it will only sometimes go into gear. Never could get it in reverse. Also, I did shim the throwout bearing w/ the supplied shim from spec, I also called them to confirm it's use. I didn't know bout measuring or I would have. Is this thing airbound? I have read that it can take up to 30 min and a lot of fluid to get the pedal right. Any help is appreciated

I myself wouldn't use a mityvac to bleed the system. It sounds to me that further bleeding is needed. If that doesn't cure the problem, then I'd try removing the shim.

Hopefully you replaced the slave cylinder when you had
everything apart. If you did, your next step would be to
replace the master cylinder.

If the hydraulics are pre 1999 they need to be upgraded.
On high mileage cars, regardless of the year, they should be replaced.

The hydraulics are real strange on these cars but once you get them
working correctly, they work real nice.
