Default Fresh t56- No Reverse-skip shift stuck?

Well I got my t56 all done and started the car up. While sitting there

1st gear engages fine, but doesnt shift down to 2nd instead it goes over to 4th. Reverse wont go in at all. 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th seem to go in fine.

ALSO: This only happens while the car is running, when it is shut off I can hit every gear just fine.

Sounds like your skip shift is making it go from 1st to 4th. You can unplug the connector and it will go away. At least it did in mine. As far as the reverse. It has a lockout too and you can just grab the shifter with both hands and push it over to the right and put it into gear or fix the problem. Good luck.

^^^ That can also bend shift forks... i would not recommend doing that. OP you probably crossed the plugs for the reverse lockout and the skip shift.
