Default eBay shifters

Anyone running one? I am swapping in the 6-spd in the next week or so and all I have is the stock factory crappy shifter. I sold a Hurst I had in the shop a few months back not thinking I was going to get to the swap, but things changed and I now am stuck with two stock shifters and no good ones.

I want to find a factory Hurst for my car, but can't find one that I can afford right now.

Anyone run one of those K2 or Racing Guys shifters off of eBay? I just want something better than the stock shifter until I can find another Hurst.

They look really cheap from the pictures I have seen...I would stick to the proven ones.

It looks pretty similar well actually almost identical to a ripper shifter. I wonder if they copied the design...

I have a Ripper shifter and I talked my brother into buying a ebay shifter. It looks like a Ripper shifter so I was convinced it would perform like one. Well I was wrong something was off when we installed it. I think it sits perfectly center and Rippers are offset a little. This caused him to barely be able to shift to 5 cause it was hitting the console. So do not get that ebay shifter its a waste of money.

Looking for just the stick or the whole setup?

If it was $35, sounds like just the stick.

I just ordered one from WS6store and it was $24, I've seen it in person and have only heard good things about it.

EDIT: wow, old thread.

i bought that ebay shifter, the one that looks like the ripper. it looks like they just coppied it, but just like anything that is cheap off ebay it is not very nice. it is not very finished and has some rough edges. also it is not machined very nice and the tolerances are not very tight. the springs in the shifter bent in half because of the big opening they had. but if your just looking for a cheap shifter to hold you over just take it apart and clean it up and close up the big area where the springs go so they dont bend in half and then its not that bad
