t56 removal in a 93

Default t56 removal in a 93

i read the sticky and did a search.i have the hole engine and tranny out of the car so it should be easy from here.ive unbolted the 8 bolts holding the tranny to the bellhouseing but the tranny will not slide back all the way and i dont see any bolts inside to remove.

can someone tell me the next step please

Me and Matt did one on his 99 T/A and the tranny would hold it self up. We came in read and read on the internet. Came out and wiggled the hell out of the gear box and it came off. You may try a small pry bar with shaking it.

My guess is that the clutch fork is holding you up. You need to grab ahold of it and pull it out. It won't come all the way out, but it will release from the throwout bearing and then it should allow the tranny to come off.
