2nd grinds occationally

2nd grinds occationally My 2nd gear seems to be grinding if i dont baby it into gear. ive been told it might be the slave or the clutch slipping or possibly the syncros. Also someone told me to check the fluids and try to change it, i havent had the time to go to my friends shop to do the clutch line drill mod. Anyone have any idea of what it might be?
You knocked one or more of the teeth on the 2nd gear ring or the 1-2synchro - ask me how I know! The folks at Tick performance (Mooresville NC) can rebuild the M6 so it won't do that anymore.
BTW - If you hit 2nd too hard (say when racing a new Shelby), you'll remove ALL the teeth on the ring, and then you'll have a 5 speed (1,_,3,4,5,6)!
