Default How I saved 300 bucks by making my own.

I wanted to get my T/A mount off my tranny so I modified, I used my stock one, because I am too cheap to buy the one from UMI for 300 bucks. I laid out the location of the mount and fabricated a stand with two support gussets all out of 1/4 inch steel. It workes out fine for me, I spaced it a 1/4 inch a way from the trans itself. It held up fine last night, I took it to the track, ran 8.30s on the motor and a couple of 7.760s on the spray, motor right now is just some bolt ons , but in a few months that is another story have heads, fast intake, custom cam, etc. will let everyone know how everything works out. Here are a few pix.
