cllutch slip question
cllutch slip question This is my second spec stage 3 clutch, been installed for 2 yrs on a 2000 Z28. I put a new flywheel and new slave and master when I put it in. In 6th gear at 70 MPH roughly 1700 RPMs, I can push the gas and the car will vibrate and the RPMs rise but the car doesnt accelarate. Is it the throw out, slave or the clutch slippn. Its fine in low gears and high RPMs, but low RPMs in high gears, it slips and vibrates. Dont really want to spend another 700 on parts and labor.......
yep the clutch is slipping, wear and tear maybe, should be able to just buy a new disc and resurface the flywheel, while you're there you can go ahead and replace the rear main seal. My rear main went out on me and caused my clutch to slip.
