well, are you using a clutch alignment tool? (usually it comes with the kit)

sometimes if the trans doesnt matte back up the clutch has to be re-aligned.

Replace the slave while you are in there if you have not already. Make sure you do not need a shim using that clutch. So do some don't. There is a sticky that explains the how to measurement. Mine came with a new pilot bearing make suure you get that installed as well.

you dont NEED to do the pilot as long as yours is good, they are a PITA to take out. so if its good, through some grease in it. you should be ok.

typically slaves dont go bad either. but if you accidentally put too much of a bind on it while putting the trans back in it could crack it. so be careful. make sure to bleed the system and put in clean fluid

ho do you know if the clutch has to be re-aligned? and how do you realign it? it looks as if the slave isnt compressing correctly? and making it hard for me to push the tranny in.

Also, is there any way to compress the Slave Spring? it seems like it is right there and that damn spring is stopping it from going all the way in.

if you are not able to get the input shaft all the way through the clutch and into the crank, its probably mis-aligned. (basically if you are having too many problems getting the trans in)

back the trans out. slowly loosen the bolts around the pressure plate to release the clutch (dont take the pressure plate off. just loosen it enough so the clutch can be moved around.) take the tool and re-align the clutch. while holding the clutch in position with the tool, start to re-tighten the bolts in a cross pattern. you should be ok

negative, the spring and the throw-out should compress themselves while you are installing the trans. however when you install the throw out it should be compressed after you get it to "click" on the slave

the throw out should not sit all the way against the slave. but should come to the end of it where it "clicks" on

You do have to force in the trans against the slave spring. I'm in the middle of re-installing mine and I used longer bolts to get it started so you aren't fighting that spring while trying to start those bolts. I just read somewhere that someone just left the spring out altogether.

Guys...you really want to be careful if you are trying to pull the trans up to the motor using the bolts that secure it. Doing this can bend a disc and lead to issues of clutch release.

Sucks man, I feel your pain. It isn't easy to get it well aligned and you really have to make sure it is before manhandling it or using bolts to force it the rest of the way. If it makes you feel any better I got mine back together and now 3rd is grinding.... grr.
