Default 4th Gear issue

I got the Tranny in the Car finally.. since I got it in 4th Gear had been really notchy. Now after driving it around some today, as I put it into 4th and start to let the Clutch out it kicks the Shifter out of that gear and grinds. When I baby it into the Gear is when it kicks it out, if I'm holding it with some resistance it stays in.
Also, as I'm cruising if I push the Clutch in and move it out of 4th and try to easily put it back in, it grinds too.
I have a B&M Ripper Shifter with the Set Screws. I'm going to back off the one on the 4th Gear side a little bit and see if that helps.

Does this possibly sound like the 4th Gear Scyncro is out?

Sounds like a syncro issue to me...what was done to the trans when it was out? (since you said you finally got it back in)

Could be the syncro or it could be the pads on the fork are worn out . When you barely put it into 4th , there is not enough travel because the fork pads are worn out . If it does not grind at higher more forceful shifts , that probably what it is .
