just curious my 02SS is totally stock and will most likely stay that way so stock replacement should be just fine, just wondering if anyone has tried and has lived to tell the tale

Stock ac delco clutches are made by luk. The company makes the ls7 and the ls6 stock replacement clutches. Go for it, I don't know how much a stocker ls1 replacement is but you can probably find an ls6 from one of the sponsers for cheaper. It is a nice upgrade also, tried and true.

I'm running the AC Delco LS6 clutch in my car with a 2006 GTO tranny. Works great.
