Default What Flywheel to use for old style 350 & T56?

I'm putting a T56 behind the 355 sbc in my '70 Skylark. The 355 is a very mild set up, old style 2-piece rear main seal. The T56 is a 98 LS1 trans but has been modified with an LT1 input shaft, midplate and bellhousing to work with the older style block. I'm on a VERY limited budget and the engine is very mild (about 325hp) and I need a flywheel. The LT1 flywheel won't work b/c of the different bolt pattern. Would an OE flywheel from an early 3rd gen camaro work? Not looking for anything high dollar and not concerned about sfi approved, etc. but any thoughts or direction would be appreciated!
Also, I plan to run the hydraulic clutch set up with stock A-body pedals.

Why can't you use an older style factory flywheel? Transmissions don't care what flywheel you use.

In this case the trans DOES care. The LT1 T56 uses a pull-type clutch instead of the traditional push-type, which requires a specific flywheel. The LT1 flywheel will not fit an older 2pc rear main seal crankshaft. Centerforce offers a conversion flywheel to fix this.

I missed the part where he said that it was converted over to the LT1 style input and bellhousing. I stand corrected.

keep an eye on eBay for the aftermarket LT1-T56 flywheel for 2pc seal motors.

You can run the old 153-tooth flywheels, but you would then need a solid-hub clutch disc and that's not the best idea if you're gonna run it on the street.

I did a 153-tooth old flywheel and a push clutch (3rd gen parts) but then I had to have machine work so the TO brg sleeve on the trans. was correct o.d. and fab the ballstud mounting for the fork.

Trust me when i say that the a/m 2pc seal LT1 style flywheel is your best option.
