Default spec stage 3+ or ls7

Which clutch would you go with out of the two. Possibly in a 600hp d.d.
Thanks

Textrailia OZ700

Whichs is IN LINE with the price of a complete Spec 3+

The LS7 is a good clutch be designed for a car that also weighs a hell of a lot less then your car whuch by the looks is not 3000 pounds.

The Tex clutch is an excellent DD clutch, you can slip it and it will handle the power. Spec's are prone to not liking any excessive slip and with DD, you can do that alot. Plust the pedal pressure is awesome.

Do a search, you should see some good info and that this topic has been covered.

Spec 3. I have had them in other cars, and never had any issues. Just installed one into my current car, with Fidanza aluminum flywheel and again no problems, no chatter.

I suggest Tick, they use a proven Tilton MC and they work beautifully with the T-56. I love mine and I can powershift with ease

I'm with you. Only difference is I have a billet steel flywheel. I've had mine for almost 3 years and have put about 5-6k on it and atleast a 70-80 6k clutch drop passes. No issues at all.

guhack, if you are concerned with the actuation of your clutch then I will be happy to issue an RMA so you can send it back for assessment. Of course, it would be great to check the stack height and let me know how your's measures up as this will evidnece any issue with the parts. If the stack is right then the release issue is not likely relative to the clutch. Another thing you can check is the slave cylinder as I have seen two separate slaves sold under the same number from GM this week. If you have pics of the parts, plate, disc, flywheel and slave then you can post them up and I will see what I can determine from them. Let me know. Thanks!

If I chose between those two I'd say Spec, hands down.

However, I would recommend Monster Clutch Co., but I'm biased.

yeah i would like to get a monster clutch too, dont think the money is there just yet. as for spec clutches, i like them. but never any experience over stage 2. i had a stage 2 in my LT1 car, and a stage 1 in my gf's 5.0.

although i did come accross a good deal today (so i think) not to hijack the thread, just want an answer.

should i buy this- used spec stage 3, with about 1500 miles, maybe 2000
and aluminum flywheel
he had the hydrolics, but they're for a corvette, will they work?

all for 250 bucks, sounds like a good deal.
the guy went with a twin exedy clutch, he said he didnt like the chatter. hes got a 427 2004 Z06, lays down 540 to the wheels N/A, he owns the shop with the dyno. hes a good guy.
