Default bad clutch sensor

About a week after installing my tick master cylinder my service engine light starting coming up. It comes on as soon as the car starts and stays on. I hooked up a code checker and im getting this code: P0704. and it says clutch sensor.

Is this something I can have ordered and installed by a mechanic? I have no clue what to do please help

If you take the panel off under the dash on the drivers side you should be able to feel up there and get to it. Its a rectangular black switch, not too hard to replace.

what would cause it to just go kaput all the sudden? It happened out of no where. I just hit 44,000 miles a few days ago.

More than likely you just need to adjust the clutch switches. With an adjustable setup like yours the peddle could be lower which means it's not contacting the upper switch. It's threaded and easy to adjust.

ahh ok I see, I'll have the mechanic that works on my car give it a look sometime this week. One last thing... Is it safe to drive the car around? its not causing damage to my clutch or anything?

I have the same code right now and picked up one today, just too lazy tonight to replace it. I think its only used for cruise control shutoff.

I just installed a new one and the new POS broke. The car wouldnt start because of it and I had to use a bobby pin as a jumper on the connector.
