Default 2004 gto t56 clutch install

me and buddy are installing a spec 3+ and we wanted to know if we gota use that metal spacer that comes in the install kit. He was told that only F bodies need that shim. Anyone help please

I would measure before you install it to be sure.

there was no spacer on there
