Default Specific clutch pedal issue.. (hard pedal/spongey)

Fidanza AL FW, LS6 clutch, disc has plenty of meterial left, PP looked fine when we took it off. McLeod master, drilled line, new slave. I've obviously spent quite a bit trying to get it to work right.

In normal driving, the pedal goes about 1/3 of the way with very little effort, after that you can feel that it's pushing on the clutch.

Other times (at high RPM's), the clutch is firm from the instant you press it, all the way to the floor.

It doesn't stick to the floor or anything like that anymore. system has been bled a few times including being "power bled" by the guy who did the rest of the clutch work.

Any idea what the culprit could be? And, can i use a different clutch & PP with my light flywheel? I would rather live with these issues than go back to an iron FW.

i'm having a similar issue
fidanza FW, ls6 clutch, OEM slave, custom lines, willwood master (its an rx7)
in the 1/4, the pedal gets hard in 3rd gear, but still shifts just fine. in 4th, the pedal is a rock, and the clutch starts slipping at 5500rpm.
i have 315whp, and the clutch holds very well in other conditions (clutch kick in 5th on the freeway and no slip)

One theory mentioned by a friend is that the heat from the headers is heating the fluid and causing it to expand, pushing on the slave.. Since we only see this during WOT runs, it does make some sense.

However, you'd think ALL clutches would suffer from this...
