Clutch Question
Clutch Question I am looking at hopefully ordering a h/c package at the end of this year and will also need to upgrade the clutch, my question is what kind of clutches are you guys running that are able to hold the power and still have good street manners at the same time? Also i will upgrade the slave and master cylinders also, is the drill mod essential and also what does it help do? Thanks

Alot of people say go with a Ram 910 VDS clutch, some say Spec, some say Mcleod. Its hard to say probably best to run a search.
I think I lucked out with my centerforce cause is shifts smoothly at any rpm and has no chatter. Pedal feel is alot heavier than stock also. Most people get the centerforce and it messes up within a week.

I had the Spec II on my supercharged LT1 and loved it. I've talked with guys with the Spec II on LS1's and they love them as well. However I don't think you can go wrong with Ram or McLeod either. I was gonna get a Centerforce but was told to stay away them, I'll only have problems sooner or later.

This is a very informative thread for myself as well. Considering that I need to purchase a new clutch here pretty soon for the wife's car. Although her car at the moment is a cam only car. More inputs on this would be greatly appreciated. I would like to hear a wide variety of results from all the different clutches.
