Default Did Spec change their PP design?

Ok I did a clutch swap and I had a Spec 3 and replaced it w/ another Spec 3 since it held up really well for me. I got almost 40k out of it and that was w/ some pretty aggressive driving.

But when I pulled the old one out I realized that the pressure plate was completely different.

Anyone know why?

Id check with Spec, they are a sponsor now. I suspect since the old design for the most part sucked. They did some R&D and figured out what works. Looks beefy.

That is an O.E. pressure plate that they more than likely modified, get with Jeremy on here, he'll get you squared away.

The p/p on the right looks like a blue painted Luk gold.

It appears to be self adjusting.

You might be able to see " Luk " somewhere on the p/p
if the paint's not to thick.

What part number did you order? The only SAC type plates that we offer for LS based applications are those intended for use on a stock LS2 (or similar) flywheel. This would be an SC66-2 series clutch kit for a C6 or a SC68-2 series clutch kit for a Cadillac CTS-V. Let me know what you ordered and we can proceed from there. Thanks,
