Default Transmission will not go into gear

A buddy of mine has an 01 c5z, and the other night he went to crank and leave and it would not go into gear at idle. One of our friends can drive it by rev matching, but you have to start it in gear to get it going. He has the ram twin disk and upgraded forks only. Well, he put the tick master cylinder in, and it's doing the same thing. I'm thinking the slave cylinder, but the guys working on it are thinking the clutch has separated(less than 5k on it).How difficult is it to check the slave cylinder. Also, i'm told the rear main seal has a small leak, could that have an effect on anything?

bump, the slave cylinder did not fix it. the clutch is a ram twin disk with ceramic plates.

Sorry to hear about the rear main seal leak. That can have an effect.

It sounds like the trans, torque tube, etc will need to be removed.

He needs to burn it!

He needs to send that tranny to tick as well, and put in a new slave and be done w/ it.
How many miles does he have on that thing?
