Default HELP broke clutch

Ok heres the story. I got in my car this morning and drove 30 miles to work. Car ran perfect no noise, no hard shifts or anything. About 3 hours after being at work, i had to pick some stuff up. I got in my car and the tranny was in 1st gear. I pressed the clutch in and started the car. The car kinda made a slight grind noise and tryed to jump forward a little bit when the engine turned over, but once it was running it just sat there like it always does when its in gear with the clutch pressed in. I tryed to put the trans into reverse with no luck. So i tryed going back into 1st gear and it wouldnt do that either. So i turned the car off put the trans into reverse and then pushed the clutch in and started the car. It started makin a real quiet grind noise and a squealing noise also. Then it slowly quit makin the noise. So i backed out and went to put it into 1st and it went kinda hard though. And i started easing out and it started makin a clicking noise and a little squealing too. So i turned it off. I tryed turning it on again and puttin it in gear with no luck. So basically it will drive if i start the car with it already in gear, but it makes noise. I did not get goin fast enough to try and shift to 2nd. So thats where i am now. Someone tell me what part of the clutch is broken. Please help. This is my only means of transportation and really need it fixed soon. Thanks

Sounds to me like you lost something in the clutch hydraulics. Slave cylinder may have fragged itself, if you're hearing a grinding.

Update
I was going to show a friend what was wrong with it. But it was working just fine. I started it and put it into 1st with no problems and into reverse with no problems. So i took it for a drive and went through the gears just fine. I even speed shifted into 2nd once to see if i could just break the damn thing and get it over with. But it grabbed like it always does. But on the way back i was shifting to 3rd gear just normally and it grinded so i put into 4th and now it will go into gear sometimes and sometimes not. But when i parked i pushed the clutch in and put it in 1st and it made a noise like the clutch was trying to grab like maybe it wasnt disengaged all the way? i dont know what to do. I might just order a whole clutch kit, wiht pilot bearing, throw out bearing and everything else i can get for it. So that way there will be nothing in the clutch system that isnt fixed.
But i am pissed at my car right now. So i am goin to go mess with it some more and see what happens. Thanks alot guys
