3rd gear shift fork?

Is it possible to change the 3rd gear shift fork at home??

It requires the entire unit to be pulled a part but it can be done at home with the right tools.

If it's just the shift fork. it requires no special tools.

If you're going to drop it and split it, you might as well, freshen it up.

anyone have more information

someone should make a write-up for this so it can be stickied.... it seems like the 3-4 shift fork upgrade is something that should be done to any t56 that is driven hard...

i plan on doing it even though im not that mean to my transmission
