Default Needing a clutch...suggestions?

Well I have a 02 bolt on SS with mods in sig, plus a UDP. Recently when I get on it, the pedal likes to stick to the floor, so I figured the LS6 clutch has seen its better days because of the mods on the car and it not being able to support the power....or maybe there is a problem somewhere because the clutch has less than 17000 miles along with a rebuilt tranny... So what would be a good clutch kit for my mods? I heard our cars don't like lightweight flywheels, is this true? I dont want to spend over 500, and I dont plan on putting heads and cam in for awhile, so it doesnt need to be extreme, and I hate soft clutches, I like it when my wife doesnt want to drive it!

i love my textrallia oz700. it works great. and is very friendly to power shifts and any shifting at that matter. as far as stifness it pretty much maintains the stock feeling.

Look up the sticky clutch pedal write-up. That will help you. most times it's not the clutch.

I like my LS7.
Loves the street holds my power and feels like stock.
Don't know how they work at the track and don't care.

If you don't want to spend more than $500 then your choices are very limited. I have heard many good things about the LS7 clutch. I run a used Textralia and I love it but new the clutch is almost a grand.

It sounds like you are having the same problem I was having with the clutch pedal sticking. I would highly recommend upgrading the hydraulics. This is where most of our trans problems stem from, it's a major weak point in our cars. I installed my Tex, Tick adjustable master and remote bleeder line at the same time. It is insane how well the car drives. If you can, do it right the first time.

If you are looking in that price range then I definetly recommend a LS7...
