Noise - shifter boot area
Evey now and then I will get a scraping or almost a "blender on slow" type of noise coming from below the shifter boot. It happens when the car is in motion, any gear or in neutral. It varies with speed and will come and go.
It's a 2002 SS, M6, original clutch and factory hurst short throw shifter with about 22,000 on the car. I will drag race it about 4 or 5 times a summer and don't power shift.
I noticed tranny was leaking gear oil, not a lot but a few drips every now and then. Tranny shifts fine in regular driving but I also have the sticky pedal in racing situations.
Anybody have this problem and know the answer.

Places to get the part... You will have to buy the complete offset lever.
One place the sells a bronze bushing alone... I have this instead of the plastic, however it makes the rattle noise.

One place the sells a bronze bushing alone... I have this for a more positive shift, instead of the plastic, however it makes the rattle noise.

The other places should have the complete ofset lever with a new plastic bushing already in there.
