Default Manual Transmission Fluid

I know you use ATF, but I'm curious to what kind everyone is using and why (if you have a reason).

I did a search and found some information, but not much.

A fellow member recommended Redline D4 to me last year & I will never use anything else again. Love it, no more cold hard shift trouble & it's accepted by D&D Performace (they built my trans & are a sponsor). Further, there have been no reports of any T-56 transmissions have trouble as a result of using Redline D4.

I thought you shouldn't use synthetic because of the stock pads?

D4 is fine & the issue w/ synthetics is related to earlier stock T-56's. I believe it was syncro or blocker ring related. No reports of any trouble caused by Redline D4 & D&D confirmed its' use is OK in my GM/Viper T-56.
