i've been wondering this too... they were all i ever used when i was into imports and they were awesome clutches... i would assume it would be the same with an ls1 car but you never know

Just came accross my old thread again. For future reference I did end up going with the act clutch just because I liked them in my other cars. I couldn't find much info on ls1 versions and didn't find a lot of people selling them but you can get it here cheap http://importevolution.com/product_i...oducts_id=4558 . I did talk to one other guy running one and he was happy with his.

I have been running the clutch for a few months now and I am very happy with it. Break in went well. Clutch has never chattered and has very controllable engagement. Pedal pressure is firmer but not overly heavy, just right. I have 500whp on my turbo setup now and it holds the power great. I should be running 600whp next summer so I'll report back. Its rated for around 700whp.

I took pictures so maybe I'll upload them later. Clutch is SFI approved also. I wouldn't be surprised if this clutch turns out to be a major player in the ls1 game after word gets out.

I posted a thread about it here and got a luke-warm response, BUT the responses I got were all I needed to make up my mind.

ACT makes some of the best clutches in the business. Never used an LS clutch, but I used them in my SRT-4 (along with about 4 other brand clutches at a dozen different types/configurations) and the ACT 6-puck I settled with was the best clutch I ever used.

hey guys i know this is an old thread but wanted to give my input. i'm doing a clutch swap on my car because my car is now turbo'd but prior to that i was pushing around 380-400 all motor. the previous owner told me the car had an aftermarket clutch in it and felt like stock but now that i pulled the tranny off i found out it was an act. i really liked it! never had an issue, gripped good and still felt like stock!

I use the ACT twin organic in mine...all good so far.

Although I havent used it at a proper drag strip yet. I didnt buy it with the intention of doing hard launches though. I just bought it to make the car nicer to drive.
I have raced on airfields etc and it's worked great, but there wouldnt be great traction there.
