This 500 mile $hit is killing me...

What will happen if I dont do the full 500 mile break in?? I have 120 miles on it now and this driving like a girl scout is getting old quick..


But at the same time I dont want to ruin a brand new clutch...


So what would happen if I started to drive it hard after 200 miles???

You need to do the proper break in if you want the clutch to perform to it's fullest. The 500 miles will go quickly....

Remember...heat cycles are the important factor really, inside that "500 mile" magic # u should have plenty. This is why they say city driving not highway miles. My car dosen't see 1k miles a year...it will this 3yr....working on clutch #3.

Just go driving around town a couple hrs each night. I wanted to make sure mine was broke in all the way. got 1000miles on it. Then took it out and put in a th400 LOL. Good luck its worth it to wait.

I guess I will take it easy. Like someone else said I only drive the car a couple thousand miles each year so 500 is ALOT...
