A4 considering M6

A4 considering M6
ive never been to the track
what would the difference in ET and MPH be if i went from a SS4000 4L60E to a T56?
also, ive been getting more and more discouraged from the A4 the more posts i read. this one guy over there has all the super-grip clutches and harsh band and 29 element this and that, and still the A4 gives and requires a very expensive rebuild. what is needed to beef up the T56? how much does it cost, how often does it go out, and how difficult is it to rebuild once its out? (the A4 has to be done professionally unless youre either very brave or dumb) you guys have a master clutch, right? i would think only changing that is necessary.
my goals are a low 400rwhp car.
every bolt on i can find,
a "healthy" cam, something like a G5X2
stage two heads, like absolute's
maybe a dry 150 shot
how hard is it to get good enough to not regret switching over?

let me think about that
T56 = i get to use 4.10's and have a sixth gear.
TH350 = doing 4000rpm @ 65mph w/ three gears
no thanks. id sooner check out the built 2004R
so really, is T56 that much cheaper to fix?
does it go out less often?
is it easier to fix?
(and what about gas milege?)

the difference in ET and MPH would depend on how good of a driver you are.
there is one serious problem you are not considering. you are going to develop a bad traction problem with that HP and 4.10's and when you fix that, you are either going to be repairing 10 bolts or spending more money on a 12 bolt.
i am currently a M6 driver that is looking to go A3. it might suck on the highway but it'll be fun at the track.

Caveman,
I currently own an M6 setup and have been through 3 transmissions as we speak. I currently own a T-56 rebuilt to the max with viper internals. There arent really too many upgrades out there for the T56 (the one i have being the best) The main problem you will have is with 1.)gear syncs 2.) shift forks bending 3.) pushrods bending 4.) 10 bolt breaking 5.) clutches 6.) SPINNIN DA WHEELS
It will be VERY hard to get an M6 to pull times that A4's do at the track but then again that depends on the driver. There have been a few very fast M6 setups. I love my M6 and would never go to an A4 just for the fact that its alot funner. On i roll i murder A4's on the Roadcourse....well thats not even a challange. Depending on what you want to do with the setup, its really a tossup....just dont expect to pull 1.5 60fts on the stock rear
Happy crusin'
