well i got my latest ta about 2 months ago when i bought it i was told it had a new trans with about 500 miles on it. Here is the issue when i shift to third in a gentle manner it somtimes doesnt engage till after i double clutch but when i ram it home it goes in no problem. Even if i keep it some what tight to the left on the shift i can feel it shift with a more positive grab. I believe it has either a stock shifter or a pro 5.0. I have yet to tear in to it yet do you guys think it is the shifter or trans. When it goes in it stays in, but like i said before if i keep it tight to the left of third it feels as if it is pushin harder??????????

 

Start with checking out the shifter. If the stops are properly adjusted, go from there. It could be in the unit itself.

 

they seem to be adjusted correctly...but i just dont think that it is being allowed to go all the way into third. Maybe it is the trans but im not sold on this shifter i cant tell what kind it is maybe i will just replace it and start from there
