Hey Everyone,

So im planning on buying rebuild parts to build up my transmission myself. Basically buying everything that tick uses in their stg. 2 kit.

Only thing is, right now my 4th gear grinds 80% of the time, 3rd 10% of the time.

Ive got about 450 miles on the trans since it started this, it will still go into 4th sometimes.

When i pull it apart to do my rebuild, do you suspect ill be needing all new bearings and need to replace 3rd and 4th gear?

 

When I do mine, I will be replacing it all. If I were you I would do it, that way you only have to take it out once for now.

 

No way for anyone to know until the trans gets opened up.. Plan on the worst, hope for the best.. Don't order any parts until the trans is fully disassembled and inspected..
