Aluminim Clutch
The reason for this is inerita,
newtons first law an object in motion tends to remain in motion. This means, with a heavier fly wheel more energy will be stored in it and you will have less trouble luanching it.Alunium fly wheels are fine for autox where you want the quicker reving and are more concerned with acceleration with the car already moving for drag racing a steel fly wheel wuld be the way to go. I would guess that a alunium flywheel would be the ticket for highway running also, but thats just an opinion. Maybe some one can describe that better then me.
An aluminum flywheel will be much harder to launch, at least that is what everyone says for LS1s/V8's in general.
I don't know how this applies to a motor with a 1/3 of the torque.

I would assume you mean imports, Best as I can figure An alumnium fkywheel would be great for them. The quicker the engine revs the quicker it builds boost and the quicker it can hit its 120 ftlb peak at 8000 rpm. Also a lighter car You wouldnt need the inerta of a heavy fly wheel to luanch it.
Drag racing you need the mass to launch a car from a stand still.
Road racing you can benefit from the light flywheel allowing the motor to rev quicker.
