Snap ring and lock ring replacement?
Are you guys replacing all these?
From what I see the manual only call out 3 to replace, Reverse and 5/6th gear shift for snap ring, and 5/6th gear lock ring (snap ring).
I talked to one shop and he reuses them unless they are obviously bent or out of shape. I'm curious as to why the manual only calls out 3 to replace and not all of them.

I'd say that the statement on the 5/6 synchro ring is either an error, or the part was redesigned and the manual wasn't updated. The small snap-rings should get replaced because they are thin and distort when being removed. All the other lock-rings are thick and can be reused if not bad.
"b. New 5th/6th synchronizer snap ring (116).
Important
Snap ring (116) must always be replaced.
When replacing snap ring, the flat side of snap ring
must face forward toward reverse gear. "
The lock-rings on the extension shaft don't have flat and rounded sides, so I would say thats an error in the manual...
