Default Did the rev test and need some answers.

OK I did the rev test today at the track. The car started to move around 4,600 rpm's. He is my set up.

-Textrilla oz700

-Stock M/C with drill mod

-2nd time around built T-56

-DOT 4 brake fliud

I cannot powershift the car at all. I bleeded the clutch Friday night for 30ish min's using GEN414 method. It stills is releasing about an 1" of the floor board. I even bleed it at the tracked and help out again. But it is still releasing an 1" of the floor board.

So here are my question for you guys.

-Tick said the Tex don't need a shim, but according to the rev test I need one, what do you guys think.

-What should I do to try to fix this.

I have been having this problems since April of 08' and I'm now starting to figure it out. I would always be missing gears and I thought it was me but I know now its not. The clutch has always release an 1" of the floor board. Any help would be f**king awesome.

I ran my new personal best to day at the track with the f-ed up clutch 11.80 @ 116 w/1.59 60'. I couldn't believe I did a 1.59 60' with a six speed and 28x11.5x16 MT et street II

Thanks

So what makes this situation require a PP rather than a new MC? Doesn't Tick say that if you fail the rev test that its the MC's fault?

And where can you buy just a PP? I havent came across anyone that sells just the PP by itself.

OK, well could be a couple things...one, need a shim. Did you measure?

How OLD is your MC?

What about slave?

Could be a PP, but if setup is new, would be inclined to look at teh above 3 first.

No I didn't measure because I brought the clutch so I didn't have to worry about a shim.

My MC as far as I know its 7 years old.

The slave is 1.5 years old.

The clutch is also 1.5 years old.

+1

If you failed the rev test than it is almost always a sign of a bad MC

I have a tilton 5.5" triple disc clutch with a stock master that is 8 years old and a qtr master hydrylic release bearing. Ever since I stopped using a replacement style clutch I have'nt failed a "rev test". Tick wants to sell a m/c.... I don't want to sell him anything but I did work on race cars for 17 yrs and trust me It's the pp. All you guys keep throughing parts at this problem and bleedin your system. I haven't bled mine for years. All I do is replace my discs when there wore out. If your hydrolics are bad they will let you know just like any thing else that holds fluid....... They'll leak.
