Unhappy clutch problems cont....

i replaced rear main seal after putting back togeter very loud grinding noise. so took back apart and replaced clutch disc, pressure plate and flywheel all with centerforce. put back together and same noise.so i pulled the starter off last now and looked at the flywheel from there. at the top of the flywheel looks like there is a bolt almost a inch out and the head might be touching the back of the flywheel. so i think this is it. or is it something that shoud be there because i tighten everything down i dont know how i could miss this bolt. i think the bolt came from the housing that the rear main seal is in and pilot bearing. any help much appeciated??

I think that it is safe to say that if you have a bolt backing out that you need to take the trans off and see exactly what is going on. You indicate that you replaced the clutch and flywheel and that the noise was there both before and after. It is amazing that you didn't see this bolt when doing the removal/installation...but I am sure you had lots of stuff on your mind when you were doing the work. At any rate...check it and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Thanks!
