help with ine from slave to mc

Unhappy help with ine from slave to mc

i just had my master cylinder replaced but they didnt change the line from the mc to the slave. my quick disconnect is stuck in the transmission because the little white thing you push down is all the way in but top was eaten away from screw drives. i called gm they say the line is only sold with new mc. does anyone have any ideas. im trying to replace my slave and throughout bearing without doing another mc. i have 0 miles on new mc. sry for long post. thanks

Can you get the white plastic sleave that slips into disconnect out all the way??

no you cant even see it anymore its in there for good..

ok well if its that far in there it should disconnect. Is half of it missing or one side in. You have any friends w/ a trans am or camaro?

no one at all. and i now live in desert. it all the way in i have took it off many times and now its just eaten away.just cant push it anymore. so im stuck nd cant get new line from gm without new mc which i just replaced

I have a extra if you need it already has drillout mod done.

I will sell it to you for 40 bucks and I tell you what I would do... I would take the plastic ring and slide it over the one you have already in and see if you can push the one thats in there already enough to disconnect. If that works You can send the line back to me and I will give you your money back. I will even let you keep the plastic disconnect piece if you send the line back.

I am pretty sure that you cant do it without the piece. Mine went missing and I tride a few things.

Auto parts stores to see if they just had the plastic piece. They dont

went and got some A/C disconnectors to try and find one that fits to go in. Couldn't find one that fits. But... if you have a drimel tool you could make one thinner to go in I am guessing. I damn near cut my finger off trying to mod one to fit. They make different sizes of the A/C disconnects so you have to get the right one.

I went and bought a new master to get it after messing with it for a few days. Then I bought a Tick after that. So know I have a extra line if you need it.

Go to the store and get the brake bushings that are talked about in this thread. I discovered they work perfectly to remove the quick disconnect. With or without the white plastic ring.
