Default T56 will not go in to 6th gear! NEED HELP!

I just bought the car a week ago. It just makes a grinding sound when i try to put it in 6th gear. Also grinds a little when i shift hard into 5th. Could this be a shift fork issue on 5-6? I know the car has a recently installed CenterForce racing clutch. Not sure if that could be the problem.

Can somebody give me some info???? THANKS!

I would say the weakest link in the 5-6th gear set up is the fork pads. When they go the synchro rings start to grind on the engagement gear. The grinding gets worse........

Take a look at the 5-6 fork pads. This is one of the reasons alot of people upgrade their T56 with aftermarket performance rebuilds like Tick Stage II.

Only way to fix your problem is to open it up unfortunately.

Same problem here with just 6th. 'been double clutching 6th for a couple years with success. I get a minor scrape around 70 MPH with the old double clutch routine.
