Shift Knob Adapters - Any Downsides?

Shift **** Adapters - Any Downsides?
So Hurst makes a black shift **** with a button, but not for the FBody thread size. They make a white one with a button for F-Bodies, but it won't match my interior at all.
I've heard of shift **** adapters but I have no clue who carries them, or if there are any downsides to it.
Thanks for the help.

Bummer...back when I got mine they offered the same one in black. Seems like they discontinued it or something. Couldnt even find any on ebay.
The adapters might be fun to find. Most the time they go from 7/16 to 3/8 or something common in standard thread. Not sure Ive ever seen one go from our M16x1.5 thread to a standard thread.
I wonder if a good hardware supplier could find you something...like McMaster Carr or Grainger?
Good luck!
