Default flywheel bolts

Does anyone know which LSx engine installation has the longest bolts for the flywheel to the crankshaft? I have a crank out of a 6.0 from a Hummer that had a spacer on the rear that had to have used longer bolts than some of the others. I am doing a custom installation with a different transmission and need some longer bolts than the ones I have from a 5.3 that just has the flexplate on it. Thanks

Eric

Some of the truck cranks (your 6.0) were shorter and used a spacer w/ the flywheel. Other cranks (your 5.3) were longer and didn't need the spacer.

Try shopping for a late 90s 6.0 truck. If they're longer than your 5.3 bolts, there you go.

The Cadillac CTSV uses an abnormally long flywheel bolt for the dual mass setup they use, not sure if it will work with your setup but it is the longest bolt out there.

Im not sure about txcar but the bolts that I ordered with the spacer are 28mm long and the CTS-V bolts are 29mm. I need something in the 35-40mm range with my spacer and the flywheel. I was debating about getting a new flywheel if I can find the correct one for my app, or finding the correct M11x1.5 bolts which seem impossible. Ideas anyone? How about short full thread headbolts that I can cutdown?

Thanks, I will check on the CTS-V bolts. I needed longer bolts for another conversion I did with a custom flywheel. Those 11m/m bolts are impossible to find and so I ended up having them made by ARP. They were 3 inches long and cost $12 apiece.

You can also search around mcmaster carr's website.

http://www.mcmaster.com/#cap-screws/=5ha63x

The bolts are a M10-1.5X??

They sell them anywhere from 16mm-40mm and they are a lot cheaper than the dealer. They are class 10.9 bolts so strength won't be an issue.

The bolts for my ls1 are M10-1.5X40
