Bleeding Question

Bleeding Question Waiting on engine to be completed and thinking I can "bench" bleed the master while on the car? Can I connect the slave and then connect a vaccuum line to the bleeder valve to accomplish this? I have a reservoir I can place between the vaccuum and valve to inspect fluid for bubbles. Once this is done I should be able to install slave prior to mounting tranny? I have a Mcleod master.
I would think it would be a huge PITA to do it with the master still in the car. If you have the motor out taking the master out should only take about 10-15min and I think bleeding the system outside the car would do a much better job as well. 
Its pretty easy man. There is one "U" shaped bolt holding it on from the engine bay side and then two nuts attach it down by the pedals.
-Take the pannel under the column off. (the one that houses the hatch release on hatch cars)
-Use a screw driver to pull the clip off the clutch pedal
-Unbolt the two nuts from the firewall and it should come right out.
