LS6 Clutch?
LS6 Clutch? I live right by Summit and was interested in the LS7 Clutch kit for my rebuild this summer. I found this one though, anybody buy this or put it in or have any experience? Seems like a good buy and clutch for my daily driver that isn't going to be taken to the track or anything.

If I were you I would get what I got. The LS7 clutch with aluminum flywheel. I payed $570 for the kit and included ARP bolts. I bought it from the ws6 store. Also the LS7 clutch isn't that heavy, it's the LS2 flywheel. That's why I went with the aluminum flywheel.

01-02's came with LS6 clutches. They're junk, they can't hold bolt-on power. Why put another junk one in?
LS7 clutch is far far far from overkill, plus there really is NO such thing as an overkill. Maybe a McLeod twin-disc in a v6 f-body, then sure that's an overkill.
Just stay away from LS6 and get LS7. Drives like stock and holds way more power.

I have the LS6 clutch now in my car, I like but I am going to step the HP a lil and it will not hold it. Like said above for a bolt on works good adn it gets the job done. You should check out Monster Clutches that is what I am going to when it gets to my door.
Holds 450rwhp very well so you have some what of a idea of power it is holding.
