T56 Rebuild Just wondering how hard it would be to rebuild a T56 transmission on my 2000 ws6. I was looking at some of the kits that sponsors here offer and it doesn't seem like it would be alot of parts, but then again I am no that informed on transmissions. Is there anybody here who has done it themselves and would like to share their experience?
Im just bottoning up my rebuild on my T56. I wouldnt say it was hard, but make sure you've got the correct lock ring pliers, pullers etc.
Like i said, not hard, but not for the faint of heart. Putting it simply, id rather rebuild my engine then the transmission.

The biggest thing is having the right tools. Some units literally just fall a part when rebuilding them. Others are not as smooth. I've had some that I thought my pullers were going to bust. I've even had some that required adding heat to get certain parts to pop loose.
