Spec supplies a throwout bearing. Its also included as part of the slave cylinder.

yes you only need one, I would use the new one - it clips on around the edge and pops off..

There is also a shim that spec supplies that goes behind the slave, I have had to use it on all but one car so I would use it if they give you one..

Every stage 2 and 3 spec I did had one, its looks like an asbestos disc with a couple holes cut in it. They pack it in with the instructions, its not a big deal, it just makes the clutch grab a bit higher and release a little better sometimes, especially if the flywheel was surfaced..

ill never do another clutch again. first i put it all together with the extra plastic bearing inside the clutch with the disk. no write ups with pics anywhere, so im frigin playin guess where **** goes. so have to take it all apart again. the engine seems like it gettin harder to spin or im gettin weaker layin on the floor under the car. so i have to keep spinning the clutch on the flywheel to get all the bolts out.(my arms crying with pain)then, i put the clutch back up there and half to keep spinnin the clutch/flywheel to get all the bolts tightened up again. the last 2 bolts go in crooked so i have to crank the **** out of them to get them done write . at least i got the clutch disk lined up pretty good inside there. im done for the friggin day

make sure you put the clutch disc in the right way, the center part where the springs are is flush with lining on one side and stick out on the other. The side that sticks out further goes towards the rear of the car, if its on backwards the clutch will never release because the springs will be jammed against the flywheel to crank bolts..

If you are doing a C5 clutch its kind of a pain, if you are doing an f-body it shouldnt be too bad since everything is pretty much out in the open..
