Is it possible to mate a T56 to a Chevy 1500 SS Awd transfer case or to any transfer case? If so, will it require a special T56 or any modifications?
Thanks For Any Help!

Yeah its possible. I think hot rod (?) did it in their AWD roadster. Not sure, but you'd definately need an adapter to the t-case. Try novak or advance adapters, they've probably got what you need. Depending on what you're doing this in, you might want to look at a divorced transfer case.

Divorced T-case means the t-case is not bolted directly to the back of the trans. You run a short output shaft from the trans to the t-case. Ive been playing around with the idea of strapping a t-case on the back of my newest project. I can make my own adapter though (machinist)
