I need to bleed mine about every 1500 miles. The first thing I notice is a little resistance getting into 1st or Reverse, then after some time the pedal starts sticking lower and lower during high rpm shifts. Flushing it usually does the trick. Invest in a Motive power brake bleeder, you can use it to bleed brakes and clutch. It pressurizes the system from the resevoir and supplies fluid also so you can do it alone. You just set it up, get under the car, connect a hose to the bleeder, open it and watch the fluid pour out until it's clear/clean.
I have also 'burned out' two LS7 pressure plates which result in the same thing, pedal sticking to the floor at high rpms. I was confident that it was the pressure plate the last time and didn't even change the slave. It's been good for about 8000 miles now.
